Dr. Kali Simmonds

Dr. Kali Simmonds

Naturopathic Doctor

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree, University of Prince Edward Island
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, CCNM, Toronto, ON

Practice Focus:
My practice has naturally evolved to include a lot of hypothyroidism, perimenopause, menopause, digestive conditions, cancer, depression, anxiety, autoimmune conditions, skin problems and weight loss. I strive to teach, empower and encourage my patients to advocate for themselves.

About Me:
I practiced in a multidisciplinary clinic in Toronto with MDs, chiropractors, and massage therapists for a year before returning home. I have been in private practice and have owned The Root Cellar for 20 years. As children we would shop there with our Mom who shaped my interpretation of health and made me aware that Naturopathic Doctors existed. I am grateful to be able to apply my knowledge to my own health and that of my family. For 12 seasons I have cohosted a health show Au Natural on Eastlink Community TV with Lana. My husband Pat and I have 6 children and for that reason I am very family focused at this stage and only practice part time. I spend much time on the road in hockey rinks, gymnastics academies and soccer fields. It is hard not to share my naturopathic tips in every day life. I am interested in politics because I think there needs to be a shift from our sick care system to one that also truly fosters health. In another life, I may have worked in architecture or interior design. Amidst a hectic schedule, I cherish with family and friends.

Dr. Nara Simmonds

Dr. Nara Simmonds

Naturopathic Doctor

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree, University of Prince Edward Island
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine CCNM, Toronto, ON.

Special Interests:
Health optimization, Thyroid, Stress management, Mental health, Pregnancy and Postpartum Health, Menopause, Breast Health

About Me:
I’ve worked for 20 years in the natural food and supplements business. While completing my science degree and working at the Root Cellar, I met many patients who were helped through my sister’s naturopathic practice and it inspired me to further my education and become an ND. Prior to becoming an ND, I took on the role of manager at The Root Cellar and again in 2016 I returned to manage while also maintaining a part-time practice. It’s by no surprise then, that one of my favourite things to do while travelling is exploring other natural food stores. I’m passionate about understanding how our bodies work and respond to our ever-changing environment and how to translate that into helping people live their best lives. I love to nerd out about nutritional biochemistry, thanks to my high school chemistry teacher who made me love chemistry early on. I do what I do because of my beautiful mother. I am grateful for my 2 boys and my partner who teach me every day how to be a better teacher. My other loves: Coffee, rebounding on my Bellicon, travelling, hiking, photography, and being with the people I love.

Dr. Cass Woods

Dr. Cassandra Goodwin

Naturopathic Doctor

My parents were in healthcare, so, growing up, medicine was part of my world. Travel
opened my eyes to how others in the world view wellness. Naturopathic medicine’s
focus on vibrancy and on leading fuller, more connected lives resonates with me. I love
how it is both an art and a science, how it is based on evidence and research, but
allows for customization.

In 2015, I graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, in New
Westminster, B.C. I am now entering my sixth year of practice, and have a part time
virtual practice. As a naturopathic medical student, I did clinical training at Q-munity,
Vancouver’s queer resource centre. My practice is a safer space for all gender and
sexual expressions.

My general naturopathic practice welcomes people of all ages, dealing with a range of
health concerns. In each case, I look at my patient as a whole person. What can we
clear away so vitality can return? What lights you up?
Once we get your physical challenges under control, that’s where the real healing
begins.

Dr. Tracy Malone

Dr. Tracey Malone

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Tracy Malone merges conventional medical treatment with natural, preventative
approaches to treat infertility. She addresses both the symptoms, as well the causes, of
disease to help her patients achieve optimal reproductive health.

Dr. Malone has a unique clinical focus, providing a comprehensive approach to infertility
treatment and hormonal disruption. By addressing the health and metabolism of
intended parents before conception, she strives to improve the health of the pregnancy
— and the future child.

The complex process of fertility treatment takes time. Dr. Malone ensures that her
patients are using this time wisely by providing targeted treatment to ensure better egg and sperm quality. By improving her patients’ health, she supports the environment in
which the egg matures and pregnancy occurs. In turn, this improves clinical success
rates, reduces complications, and creates a healthier pregnancy.

She co-founded Conceive Health with Dr. Jennifer Fitzgerald. Their integrative clinical
model provides a safe, transparent approach to your fertility treatment. Working
collaboratively with your IVF doctor, Dr. Malone and team provide the most
comprehensive reproductive care available.

Tracy Malone ND graduated from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine
(CCNM-2005) in Toronto, ON. St.Francis Xavier University (2000). Dr. Malone is
NPLEX certified and registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).
Professional memberships: Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors – OAND,
Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors – CAND  Member of the College of
